1.1.1 reset the security of the file

You can reset the security settings of its internal files and subfolders on the folder.

Example: reset security settings

The security of the permission settings for files and subfolders in the Public Space folder does not meet your current requirements, and you plan to reset the following Public Space folder permissions.

1. Right-click the Public Space folder, click Properties, and under the Security tab, click the Advanced button.

two。 In the Advanced Security Settings dialog box that appears, click the Edit button.

3. In the Advanced Security Settings dialog box that appears, select replace all existing inheritable permissions on all descendants with permissions that can be inherited from this object, and click OK.

4. In the prompt dialog box that appears, click Yes.

5. Open the VistaSN.txt in the folder again to see its security. It is found that the inherited permissions removed in the previous section are applied again, and the permission to access the VistaSN.txt file authorized by the account "Han Ligang" in the previous section no longer exists.

The owners of files and folders can set the security of files unconditionally, or users who have full control over files and folders can set security.

If the files and subfolders inside are created by other user accounts, you will be prompted for insufficient permissions, and you need to take ownership of the object before resetting its security.
