Despite rumors that Lumia was about to die, Microsoft kept quiet about its mobile division and insisted on using mysterious methods, which also frustrated the Windows Phone community.

Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider project, tweeted that Microsoft was committed to mobile Windows 10, reiterating the words of Terry Myerson, Windows's boss, who said earlier this year that the company would support partners in bringing new devices to market.

"We are committed to transferring and sending flights. As our partners bring equipment to market, we will also provide these devices to insiders." Donna said.

It is not difficult to decrypt the message, especially given that the head of the Insider program has made it clear that partners are partners who bring devices to market, not directly to Microsoft. Although the mobile version of Windows 10 will continue to exist, it is not clear whether Surface Phone will continue on the company's path.

Terry Myerson said in an email to partners in April that Microsoft was "developing next-generation products and is committed to delivering Windows10 on small-screen mobile devices running ARM processors."

However, while it is clear that this may be the best choice for Microsoft to succeed in mobile, it is uncertain whether Surface Phone will go public soon. Myerson gave up some hints that the new model could be used at some point, but did not provide details.

"We have a device roadmap that supports Microsoft and our OEM partners, and they will also sell an expanded lineup of phone devices based on the platform," he said.

People familiar with the matter have previously hinted that the Surface Phone may be launched in early 2017, but according to the latest rumors, the device may be delayed until later in the same year.
