In order to attract more users, Peloton today lowered the price of digital-only subscriptions and released two new apps, one is Apple Watch and the other is Fire TV. The Apple Watch app allows users to track their heart rate and monitor their running speed and distance during exercise. It also uses Peloton's UI to track heart rate "zones", which coaches often use to guide users on how to use their power to maximize calorie or fat consumption. This app is a useful supplement for those who don't want to pay for another heart rate monitor to pair with their own Peloton machine or to exercise with Peloton's digital app.

TV users can also download the new Peloton app and access fitness classes on their TV. Previously, users had to convert the course from their mobile application or Peloton device to a Miracast-enabled device.

The ability to stream courses on TV may help subscribers to Peloton digital members, who now pay $12.99 a month, compared with $39 a month for a Peloton bike or treadmill. (previously, Peloton only charged a digital subscription fee of $19.49 a month. With the Fire TV app, users can use their own fitness equipment in class or choose to watch it on a big screen. This is also helpful for those who want to take off-device classes in Peloton (such as yoga, meditation or strength training) without having to watch on the screen on a bike or treadmill.

Both apps are now available in app stores and fire televisions. (note, however, that Fire TV applications will be compatible with older devices, including first-and second-generation Fire TV and first-generation Fire TV Stick.)
