How to configure the IP of the network card?

Use serial port to configure in hyperterminal

If the network card has been configured and used, you can only use the serial port to configure the network card in the hyperterminal.

A: how to quickly configure network management cards such as AP9617/9618/9619/9630/9631/AP9635 with ARP protocol?

First, the applicable environment and prerequisites are:

1the network management card such as 9631 Accord 9635 is new (factory default) and has not been configured. That is,

After the network management card is inserted into the smart slot of the UPS, the card's status light flashes orange.

1. Insert AP9617AP9617/9618/9619/9630/9631/AP9635 and other network management cards into the smart slot of UPS, turn on UPS, and check the card's

2, plug the network cable into the card, connect it to the local area network, and check whether the card's 10x100 Link status light is on. If not, please check the network cable.

3. Turn on the Windows computer that is available for access to the network, change to the command line, and run the following command:

Arp-s IP_address_card MAC_Address_card

For example, we want to assign an address of 159.215.240.22 to the UPS network card, which needs to be entered in the Windows operating system.

Input is required in the Linux operating system

Note: a label marked MAC Address can be found on network management cards such as AP9617AP9617/9618/9619/9630/9631.

The IP address is free and available.

4. Run Ping IP_Address first to check whether the configuration is effective. Note that the IP address of the Windows computer must be the same as the one previously assigned to UPS.

The IP address is on the same network segment.

For example, in the Windows operating system

Ping 159.215.240.22-l 113

In the Linux operating system

Ping 159.215.240.22-s 113

5, and then run telnet IP_Address

For example, telnet 159.215.240.22

6. Modify the specific parameters of the login card: the default User Name and Password are apc.

If AP9617AP9617/8/9, enter matching parameters such as Subnet Mask and Defa ult Gateway in the Network- > TCP/IP menu.

If it is AP9631/AP9631/AP9635, after logging in, enter the command:

> tcpip-s # where subnet musk is the subnet mask, such as 255.255.255.0

> tcpip-g # where gateway is the gateway

7. Confirm the parameter modification and exit. The card restarts automatically. There is a Web browser to manage the network and verify its configuration.

B: how to configure AP9617AP9617/AP9618/AP9619 with computer serial port hyperterminal

1. Use the 940-0024C communication line (included with the network management card) to connect the computer running the terminal emulation program to the UPS.

2. If the serial port of the computer (connecting the 940-0024C communication line) is being used by APC software PowerChute Plus or other programs, please close it

Related procedures. Start the terminal emulation program such as HyperTerminal, and set the serial port parameters to: 2400bps, No Parity, 8 data bits

1 stop bit, and No Flow Control

Note: after modifying the serial port parameters, the setting will take effect after disconnecting and reconnecting the session (connection).

3. After confirming that the above two steps are correct, press enter.

4. Enter User Name and Password, and the default setting is apc.

5. After logging in correctly, the management interface of the network management card will pop up automatically.

It should be noted that the three parameters of TCP/IP, including System IP,Default Gateway,Subnet Mask, must be set, especially the gateway.

Default Gateway cannot be 0.0.0.0, otherwise the network will become impassable. If you exit HyperTerminal, the network setting is successful.

First use the ping command to check whether the network configuration is successful. If you cannot Ping, please Reset the card. There is a white Reset button on the card.

Click, the card restarts, the restart is only the card re-power up, will not change any existing settings in the card.

C: how to configure AP9630/AP9631AP9631/AP9635/AP9635 with computer serial port hyperterminal

Configure using the 940-0299 communication line:

1. Use the 940-0299 communication line (included with the network management card) to connect the computer running the terminal emulation program to the UPS.
