The author has just joined a global rollout project. The customers of this project are very rich, and the rate provided to me by this project is absolutely rare in the domestic freelancer market, which is at the top of the freelancer pyramid at present; this makes my monthly income reach a new high, and it is the best and best project I have done in the SAP industry for more than a decade. I am honored to join this project because of the recommendation of my colleague WQ on the previous project. Without a phone call from her, I didn't know there was this project at all, so I was very grateful to her and regarded her as another important person in my life.

I always remember that in early August 2015, I decided to resign and become freelancer. At that time, it happened that the project had been online for a month, there were not many things, and I was very free every day. I try to find some project opportunities to meet my desire to be a freelancer. I usually pay great attention to accumulating contacts, and I have many SAP peers and headhunters on QQ and Wechat. So I went to contact these headhunters and asked them to help recommend projects. I took the initiative to contact those who had hair hunting advertisements. After a lot of effort, I sent out numerous resumes and revised them many times in response to the needs of many projects. As a result, I searched for nearly a month and tried several project opportunities. Either I didn't hear from him after the interview, or the rate was too low. I didn't expect that the market in the freelancer market was so bad! Until the end of August 2015, a colleague who had never met me on QQ for a long time recommended me for a project, and finally got the offer of the project. At that time, I sighed that there must be contacts, and the recommendation of acquaintances was far more reliable than that of headhunters.

Today, more than a year later, my former colleague WQ recommended me to get this project opportunity. This kind of good project is very rare in China, and there will be only one project opportunity every ten years. Therefore, the author deeply feels that if we want to have a better development in the SAP industry, contacts will definitely rank first. For SAP consultants, good connections are far more important than superb skills and expertise. I know many colleagues who are very skilled, and they are good at foreign languages, and their comprehensive strength is far higher than that of myself, but because they have not encountered good project opportunities, they can only do some private enterprise projects that are very difficult to do, and they work overtime every day. And I get very little. What they lack is not professional ability and project experience, not foreign language ability, but opportunities and contacts that bring them high-quality and high-end projects!

The accumulation of contacts is very important, but first of all, you need to have a good personality and integrity. I have been engaged in the SAP industry for more than ten years, and I have worked with a lot of colleagues on the project. I almost always make friends with them and enjoy working with them. I actively cooperate with them when they need my help in their work, and I am willing to offer help and advice to them. I have hardly quarreled with anyone, and I can make a large number of friends every time I finish a project, and my circle of friends is like a snowball.

The sincerity of the attitude towards colleagues and friends in work and life and whether they can help others determine their own effective contacts in the future. Treating others with sincerity, respecting others, tolerating other people's shortcomings and deficiencies, and not criticizing others behind their backs is a very important rule to get along with others, and it is also a sharp weapon to expand contacts. Some SAP peers are arrogant, ambitious and low-skilled, disdain for their peers, and offend a group of people by doing a project. such people are tantamount to tying up their own cocoons. Some SAP peers are too strong to quarrel with colleagues and even clients for trifles at work, and they can't tolerate each other's shortcomings and mistakes. Of course, such people have few friends. Some SAP colleagues like to gossip behind their backs and delight in life by revealing other people's scars. It is inconceivable that anyone would be willing to help him when he is in trouble. To be a good person is a prerequisite for having a wide range of effective contacts. Another very important reason why I can join the current project is that I once served the SAP promotion project in three domestic manufacturing plants of the clients of the project three or four years ago. On that project, my professional skills were extremely recognized by the customers, and my positive and hard-working attitude left a deep impression on the customers. I established a good friendship with the customer's SAP team and business team. The client knows me very well, so after the launch of the new project, when I heard that my schedule could be arranged, the client took the initiative to invite me to join the project and said: leave this project to me, they are very relieved!

It makes sense that networking is not how many people you know, but how many people know you and how many people are willing to help you. You have a unique value, can help others, the network is really effective!
