WRTnode is an intelligent router development board based on OpenWRT, which can run a complete Linux kernel and wireless router protocol stack.

After getting the board, connect the 5V power supply through MicroUSB (mobile power supply is also possible), and you can use it in a simple configuration, and you can also cascade to the original WiFi router or wired cat. Configuration includes: login, setting password, setting superior router information and so on. The following is a simple explanation:

Start WRTnode

Connect the microUSB port of WRTnode with a dedicated USB cable (if you don't need an external USB device, you can also use the USB cable for the entire cat and dog mobile phone), and plug the USB cable into a place with more than 5v power supply of 500ma. Generally speaking, any computer, notebook or cell phone charger is fine.

Five seconds later, the blue light on the board came on and the OpenWrt inside began to start.

After 20 seconds, you can find a Wi-Fi of WRTnodexxxx (xxxx refers to the last four digits of your WRTnode mac address).

Connect with your computer or cell phone or ipad. The password is 12345678.

First of all, you can see if you are connected to WRTnode. If so, congratulations!

Ping i.wrtno.de login

WRTnode supports three ways to log in: telnet,ssh,web browser.

The first time to enter, there is no password, ssh can not run by default. First use:

Telnet i.wrtno.de

If the following picture appears, congratulations! It's already in the system.

Set password

Follow the prompts, and then enter the password you want to set (keep it simple, or you'll forget about it):

Passwd

Enter exit to exit:

Exit

Then use ssh to enter:

Ssh root@i.wrtno.de

Scan the surrounding routers and make sure you have the one you need to link to.

WRTnode is now working properly, but on its own local area network (192.168.8.1). What should I do to connect to Internet?

Let's modify the router parameters of the next cascade, enter:

This actually launches the VIM editor. After the configuration parameters are listed in the window, enter "I" and enter edit mode.

Then, press "esc" to exit edit mode.

Press "shift+:" again to enter command mode.

Type "wq" again, and then save and exit.

Then restart WRTnode's network.

Nr' is a custom command of WRTnode. Restart the network and wait 5 seconds. Sometimes it takes our computer to reconnect to WRTnode's Wi-Fi and see if WRTnode has obtained the IP address from the superior route DHCP.

Sometimes, it may take more than ten seconds or even dozens of seconds to get the IP address. After getting the IP, let's see if it is connected to the Internet:
