These instructions assume that you choose an i386 or i686 system (32-bit). And there are Internet access conditions and at least 10G partition to the Fedora system. A dual boot introduction to the Fedora system and Windows is also included.

These introductions are not sure to work on 64-bit computers. Although 32-bit fedora can run on 64-bit processors such as Athlon64,Opteron and Xeon, some Firefox-like plug-ins can only run on 32-bit versions of Ff.

Fedora system installation:

* the parameters used in the following guide are only specific to the author's situation, including the installation of three parts of software for non-Fedora projects, official Fedora documentation in http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/, and an official explanation of all officially supported Fedora system installation options and fundamentals.

* download and burn 6 Fedora Core 5 CD/DVD, which can be downloaded from the nearest image (mirror site). You should download FC-5-i386-disc1.iso, FC-5-i386-disc2.iso, FC-5-i386-disc3.iso, FC-5-i386-disc4.iso, FC-5-i386-disc5.iso and FC-5-i386-rescuecd.iso. These CD iso and DVD iso can also be downloaded through BT (bittorrent).
