Environment: xd 7.15 cu3;vda 7.6 cu5;upm policy based on domain policy

Operating system: Windows Server 2012 R2 and Win7 Professional Edition 32-bit (patch has been updated to the latest and upgraded to ie11)

Failure phenomenon: when the user logs in to the desktop for the first time, the upm policy takes effect and a upm folder is generated. When logging in the second time, the generated upm file cannot be applied.

Resolution process:

Confirm whether UPM takes effect on the user's second login, and run gpresult / H a.html on the client Win7. The result shows that the policy UPM has been selected and applied, but it is strange that the selected details of UPM cannot be displayed, resulting in an error as shown in the following figure.

At the same time, running gpedit.msc on the client Win7 also produces the error shown in the following figure.

Check Microsoft kb according to the above error, because when updating Win7 ie8 to ie11, the language pack is not fully updated and you need to repatch and replace the policy template file. The specific operation is as follows: update kb2929437 first, and then update kb2976627.

If it still fails, update the policy template and go to Microsoft Management to download the latest policy management template https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6243.

Back up the original file inetres.admx, and then change permissions to replace the new file with the old one

Check to see if the problem has been solved, and if the error is resolved, you will be surprised to find that the details selected by the gpresult / Ha.htmlMagi UPM strategy can be displayed.
