Introduce: the most direct performance of PXE is that the workstation can omit the hard disk in the network environment, but it is not the concept of diskless station, because the running speed of PC using this technology is more than 3 times faster than that of PC with disk. Of course, PC using PXE is not a TERMINAL terminal in the traditional sense, because PC using PXE does not consume resources such as CPU,RAM of the server, so the hardware requirements of the server are very low.

PXE startup principle

When the computer boots, BIOS calls the PXE Client into memory for execution, and then PXE Client downloads the files placed at the remote end to run locally through the network.

Experimental environment: one virtual machine linux6 and one win7

Install tftp:

Edit the tftp configuration file:

Install dhcp

Edit the dhcp configuration file:

Install vsftp:

Mount the CD:

Install syslinux

Copy the pxe file:

Create a package to copy

Start the service and turn off the firewall:

Restart the win7 computer for manual installation

Manual installation completed

Automatic installation:'

Install kicks tools

Open the kicks tool

Configure settings for automatic installation

Edit default

Restart the computer and choose the fourth one to install automatically
