At present, there are three main types of hard disk interfaces: IDE, SCSI and SATA.

IDE is a mature, stable and cheap parallel transmission interface.

SATA is a serial transmission interface with faster transmission speed and more complete data verification.

SCSI is a general standard for system-level interface between computer, hard disk, optical drive and other devices. It has the advantages of low system resource occupancy, high speed and fast transmission speed.

ISCSI- HBA card. Different from ordinary network cards (connecting network bus and memory for computers to use on the Internet), iSCSI-HBA cards are connected to SCSI interface or FC (fibre Channel) bus and memory, which are specially used to exchange storage data between hosts, and the protocols used are essentially different from those of ordinary network cards. The server running the Linux system will package the hard disk device commands and data into standard TCP/IP packets based on the iSCSI protocol, and then transmit them to the target storage device through Ethernet. When the target storage device receives these data packets, it also needs to decompress the TCP/IP packet into hard disk device commands and data based on the iSCSI protocol.

ISCSI technology is divided into server (target) and client (initiator) in the form of work. The iSCSI server is the server used to store hard disk storage resources. As the storage side of the previously created RAID disk array, it can provide users with available storage resources. The iSCSI client is the software used by the user to access the storage resources of the remote server.

Database management system is a kind of software program which can establish, modify, delete, find and maintain the data stored in the database. It effectively lowers the technical threshold of database management by transforming the specific physical data in the computer into abstract logical data suitable for users, so even engineers engaged in Linux operation and maintenance can carry out basic management operations on the database.
