Scene description

In the daily process of IT support services, we often need to cooperate with global network team or security team. A more conventional and efficient way of transnational and cross-departmental cooperation is to join an online meeting, in which we can share desktops, online voice and video, etc., and allow others to operate their own computers.

There are many kinds of Online meeting, such as the old WebEX Meeting and the dark horse Zoom meeting in recent years, who wrote an article "how to collaborate remotely with IT through Zoom meeting?" ". Although it feels that WebEx Meeting is not as easy to use as Zoom Meeting, it is often used in on-demand IT services in foreign enterprises.

Operation steps

1. Visit WebEx Meeing:

Click the Webex meeting link:

Automatically open the browser, jump to Webex meeting, and enter your:

English name email address verification code

Then click Join Meeting:

If you use WebEx Meeting for the first time or do not install the WebEx plug-in, a prompt will pop up:

You can click "Run a temporary application" to join the current meeting (valid for this meeting only, and you also need to click again for a new meeting) if you can access Google, you can click "Add Cisco Webex to Chrome". Next time you join WebEx Meeting, you don't have to install it (most people can't)

3. Run the program to enter the meeting

After downloading, double-click directly to run it to start meeting:

Enter meeting after loading, and then you can choose:

Whether or not to use voice: Call Using Computer is usually selected at Choose Audio Option, so that everyone can use the computer's MIC and Speaker to communicate with the support team whether to use video: click the drop-down box of Integrated Camera and choose not to use the camera. Enabling video is not only uncomfortable, unnecessary, but also takes up bandwidth.

4. Shared Desktop

Click the sharing icon at the bottom of the Meeting interface:

If you choose to share Screen1, you can share your desktop. If someone applies to control your computer, you can click accept:

5. Text communication

The English accent of some Indian IT colleagues is too strong and the network voice effect is not good, so it is more efficient and clear to communicate through words. Click the chat icon below Meeting:

You can choose who attended the meeting or Everyone to communicate with each other in text:
