The school tried to purchase multiple sets of Internet of things simulators, the mode is: a server side to do authorization, multiple computers in the local area network can use the simulator at the same time.

I. Server configuration

First of all, the server starts to make sure that the server is connected to the network. the server has two network ports, one is the external network and the other is the internal network, as shown below, the upper port is the external network port, and the lower port is the intranet port. The public network port is not connected by default. The intranet port is connected to the same router in the computer room through the switch.

VMware ESXi 6.7.0 is used, and then multiple virtual systems are installed on this basis. The URL of VM is previously set, and you can view the corresponding host URL through the connection screen. As follows:

Then open a computer in the local area network as the connecting machine, because the IP segment of the computer in the local area network is different, so you need to modify the IP address of the connecting machine. Since they are all class C IP addresses, all you have to do is to modify the IP segment. For example, if the server is 192.168.200.200 and the connection machine is 192.168.28.XX, you can add a 192.168.200.XX band IP address to the IP address list of the connection machine. As follows:

After clicking add, enter an IP address of the same network segment as the server, and then click add:

The gateway does not need to be set up because the following gateway is the address of the router shared by the two devices.

After you are sure, open the browser that connects to the machine, enter the address of the server, enter, then ask the administrator for the account password, and finally enter the account password.

So far, five virtual machines have been created, ROS and Aikuai routing, both of which are used for LAN connections, only one can be enabled, otherwise there will be conflicts. ROS supports more powerful custom features, and Aikuai routing is simple.

The actions are as follows: click "Virtual Machine" on the left, select the virtual machine in the list on the right, and then you can operate on a specific virtual machine. In the following figure, only three virtual machines are enabled, the first three. The last two are not open. If you forget the login password of the virtual machine, you can directly select and click "console" in the picture to log in without a password.

In particular, the IP address of the internal virtual machine has been changed. If the local area network cannot be connected, you can log in to the virtual machine in this way and directly modify the IP address or account password of the virtual machine.

After modifying the network and account password of the virtual machine, it can be accessed by using the remote desktop on the connecting machine, so the operation is much more smooth.

Then, after the login is successful, install the appropriate license server software, as follows:

If the server is turned off, after rebooting, you must remember to turn on the KPF software, otherwise the students in the local area network will not be authorized. If you need to update the server components, you can temporarily let the server connect to the external network.

The software of the student computer is to update the parameters and built-in references by connecting to this server, and the update of this server needs to connect to the external network. As shown in the above figure, the external network has been successfully connected.

This shortcut has been sent to the desktop.

II. Allocation of students' machines

The student machine initializes and installs the supporting terminal software, as shown in the KPC.exe below.

Double-click the kpc.exe of the desktop to start. After startup, automatically search whether there is an authorized server in the local area network, and if so, automatically update the component to ensure that the component is the same as the server. If not, the error is as follows:

At this point, click the settings icon in the figure above, and enter the IP address of the authorization server in the LAN, as shown below:

Click the tick, then click "redetect" in the previous picture, and the system automatically looks for authorization according to the new server IP address.

After success, it is as follows:

On the left side of the image above is the list. When selected, if there is a corresponding green clickable button, it indicates that the module has been licensed and available.

For the basic experimental system in the image above, after clicking in, the account password can be empty and the default is the current user.
