In recent years, with the rapid growth of network data applications, China ushered in the peak of data center construction, especially telecom operators, Internet, financial industry, IDC hosting service providers and other data center construction increased significantly. While building large-scale data centers, we also need to pay close attention to the repeated construction of data centers, high energy consumption, waste of resources and so on. A high-end seminar on China's IDC construction and development, organized by China cabling working Group Cteam, was held in Chengdu on October 24, 2014.

The conference invited well-known experts and senior personages of domestic data centers to conduct in-depth discussions on major issues such as network architecture, green energy saving, effective operation and management of data center 40G/100G, as well as industry development trends by means of keynote speeches, case studies and expert interaction. Rosenberg shared his construction experience from the perspective of micro-module data center and wiring management.

The seminar focused on three topics: 40G/100G 's network architecture, data center energy saving, and data center operation and management. The Scorpio project jointly developed by BAT and telecom operators has been upgraded from version 1.0 to version 3.0. Scorpio has adopted a micro-modular idea of data center construction on a large scale. BAT shared their unique views on construction efficiency and operation and maintenance energy consumption with their own data center construction experience. Many innovative schemes have been adopted in terms of power distribution scheme, refrigeration technology, wiring technology and so on. What is particularly impressive is that the PUE index of BAT's micro-module data center reaches the range of 1.1-1.5, which provides valuable practical experience for the construction of green and energy-saving data centers in China. JD.com, an Internet enterprise in addition to BAT, made a detailed case study of the data center project under construction, and JD.com 's data center also adopted its own unique energy-saving scheme.

Speech by Rosenberg Technical Director

Rosenberg delivered a keynote speech entitled Internet Modular cabling system on the issue of data center operation and management. With the development of the trend of micro-modularization in data center, cabling should keep up with the development of micro-modularization, save space, reduce the on-site construction cycle, and make the products more standardized, flexible and product-oriented. To solve these problems, Rosenberg proposed a modular cabling solution.
