After win10 released the update, as soon as I installed my C disk, I couldn't make up any remaining space, so I had to find a way to clean C disk or expand the capacity of C disk. If we usually pay more attention to the use of computer disk and the choice of file location, the former method is very limited to solve the urgent problem of C disk, so we can only find a way to expand the capacity of C disk.

Although the pursuit of lossless expansion, but to be on the safe side, or C disk data backup, I use a backup software (http://www.disktool.cn/backup/backup-software.html?patoolbar)

Then generally speaking, we only need a software-- partition assistant, and then allocate part of the free space of other disks to C disk for ok.

However, the problem I encountered is that the partition assistant cannot complete the operation when the system is 1703 or above. If you have to use this software, you need to make a win PE, and then complete the expansion of the C disk in this small system. I don't know anything about win PE, and I'm worried about data loss, so I'm looking for another way.

Later, I found another software-EaseUS Partition Master Free Edition, and the free home version was enough.

1. Start EaseUS. As shown in the following figure, there is no unallocated space to extend the system partition. So first, you have to reduce one of the partitions to get unallocated space.

two。 Select a partition and reduce the partition by clicking Resize / move Partition, and then move it so that the unallocated space is behind the system partition.

3. Then select the system partition (C: drive), right-click it and select Resize / move Partition to expand the C: drive.

4. Click Apply.

If there is no option "resize / move partitions" after right-clicking on disk C, first split the free disk to form an unallocated disk, then drag and drop the disk to the right of disk C, right-click "my computer", select "manage", click "disk Management", you can see that there are unallocated disks on the right side of disk C (because this computer has been expanded, so you can't see it now)

Then right-click the part of the arrow in the image above, and you can see that the "expand volume" option is available. Click "expand volume", select the unallocated disk that has just been split out, and finally make sure it is done.

It should be noted that the above process does take a long time, if you are in a hurry to use the computer, you may need to find another way.
