What is Wok?

Wok is based on cherrypy's web framework and can be extended through plug-ins, such as virtualization management, host management, and system management. It can be run in any web browser that supports HTML5.

What is Kimchi?

Kimchi is a HTML5-based KVM management tool, is a plug-in to Wok (wok must be installed before using Kimchi), through Kimchi can be more convenient to manage KVM.

Installation configuration

System environment: CentOS 7.6

Turning off: firewall

Turn off: selinux

Install the KVM virtual machine

Yum groupinstall-y virtualization*

Install wok

Wget https://github.com/kimchi-project/wok/releases/download/2.5.0/wok-2.5.0-0.el7.centos.noarch.rpm

Yum install wok-2.5.0-0.el7.centos.noarch.rpm

Install kimchi

Wget https://github.com/kimchi-project/kimchi/releases/download/2.5.0/kimchi-2.5.0-0.el7.centos.noarch.rpm

Yum install kimchi-2.5.0-0.el7.centos.noarch.rpm

Start the wokd service (when you start wokd, nginx also starts)

Systemctl start wokd

When you visit https://IP:8001, you can see the login page. The account password for this login is the account password of the current system.
