Microsoft announced that the latest update to the "your phone" app allows compatible Samsung phones and tablets to drag and drop files onto computers, and vice versa. The size of each file should not exceed 512 megabytes and no more than 100 files at a time.

This feature currently applies only to compatible Samsung Galaxy devices that have the ability to link to Windows (version 1.5 or later). Galaxy devices and personal computers need to be connected to the same wireless network. Now, the latest version of WIndows 10 is needed, although this feature will eventually be extended to all Windows 10 users.

On Samsung devices, transfer is like moving files. In the repository or my Files application, press and hold the file until it is selected, and then select more or press and hold again to enable drag and drop. You can then drag the selected files to a folder on your computer. If a file that already exists on the receiving device is transferred, it will be copied. Microsoft also pointed out that minimizing Your Phone applications on PC would cancel all transfers.

On Windows 10, simply select the files you want to transfer to the phone, drag them to the window of the phone application, and the files will be displayed in the download folder on the Samsung device.

It is reported that the cooperation between Microsoft and Samsung took place at the beginning of this year. There are no reports on when all other Android and iOS devices will support this feature.
