Although I have heard of cygwin as a UNIX simulation environment under windows a long time ago, I always thought it was troublesome to install it, so I recently installed one and found that the original installation was similar to other programs under windows.

It's just that I made a mistake during the installation. I accidentally chose ALL-Install. I didn't expect that this was all installed.

As a result, 5G data was downloaded, and the installation directory reached more than 30 gigabytes, which was not needed by many programs. Because I found that the startup speed of cygwin is a little slow, and the hard disk space is a little tight, so I uninstalled a lot of programs, but only a few have been installed, so I decided to uninstall them all and install them in default mode.

It is relatively simple to uninstall. Before uninstalling, please stop all services started by cygwin. Some services are installed as windows servers and can be stopped in services.msc. Then use the installer setup.exe as well, except that when selecting a package, select ALL uninstall. As shown in the picture

After the uninstall is complete, do not press finish, select back, you can reinstall. Continue to press the string to the right of the loop symbol and switch to default

You can select Default,Install,Unistall for each package series, and press the + sign on the left side of the package series to select a single package. Skip means to skip installation, keep indicates that it has been installed, and the version number to the right of the loop symbol indicates a new installation. At this time, the corresponding bin column has an X in its mouth.

There seems to be no need to uninstall all and then reinstall default, but I can't verify it now
