Shulou(Shulou.com)05/31 Report--

Tablet shipments fell for the second consecutive quarter compared with the same period last year as the once-hot market began to falter, according to IDC.

The most popular device in the enterprise is still the tablet. Executives serve them one by one, the IT department provides services for them, and users continue to speak for them. Are they fashionistas or gamers?

Shipments of tablets and two-in-one devices fell 5.9% from the first quarter of last year to 47.1 million units, according to IDC. It's too early to ask whether tablets will be the next "stall" like netbooks, but the question is certainly worth pondering.

The slowdown in the tablet market is noteworthy for several reasons:

IDC's data highlight the growth rate of cellular tablets in the market. Two-in-one devices and removable devices account for only a small portion of the tablet market, but they are growing. Asustek, Acer and Microsoft are all pursuing two-in-one devices. It's worth noting that HP's latest line of laptops includes tablets that can double. Lenovo is about the same.

In fact, Lenovo is one of the few tablet vendors on the market. Lenovo has 2-inch, 1-inch yoga and a series of cheap tablets.

Look at the stands here. The key is that Apple's IPAD needs to be refreshed, Samsung's turnover is declining, and Asustek's growth was sluggish in the first quarter, but a new transformer lineup was launched in mid-February.
