How to install the SATA hard drive in the Vista operating system? Many novices are not very clear about this. In order to help you solve this problem, the following editor will explain it in detail. People with this need can come and learn. I hope you can gain something.
First of all, our central idea is to manually add our own disk controller driver (nonsense) to the vista installation directory. There are two steps to do this:
one. In the vista temporary installation directory, place our own driver files.
two. Add our own driver key value to the vista registry. Chairman Mao taught us to be kind. If you secretly add a bunch of files to someone's directory, you should let them know: Hey, vista~~ even added my precious files to your directory. Remember to add them to me when you install them! If you miss a ~ ~ Hey, then you die and show me.)
All right, with the theoretical basis, let's take action!
Install vista normally under XP until the first restart, and then reboot the blue screen (normal-_-". Re-enter the XP to perform the operation.
No.1: copy your own disk driver files to the relevant location in the vista temporary directory.
Specifically: * .sys files are placed in windows\ system32\ drivers in the vista temporary directory, and * .inf and other files are placed in windows\ inf in the vista temporary directory.
No.2: how do I modify the registry of vista? We need to use the registry database of the current XP system as a temporary place to operate. Just create a new temporary folder: my location is under c:\ raid. Then open the registry, find all the keys of the driver you want to install in XP and save all of them in the file sata.reg. Copy sata.reg to c:\ raid.
Then create a new text file a.txt. Exe in the raid folder. Open an and add the following (/ / then I don't have to write):
If not exist system goto end
Copy the system system.bak / / backup system file.
Reg load hklm\ hk97sys system / / writes the contents of the system file to Hkey_LOCAL_MACHINE\ hk97sys, and hk97sys is the temporary new key value.
Regedit / s SATA.reg / / adds the value of sata.reg to the current registry. And save the system file.
Reg unload hklm\ hk97sys / / removes the hk97sys key added in the current registry.
Pause / / so you can see the result clearly.
: end
Save a.txt after writing and rename it to a.cmd. When you're ready, you're ready to operate. Copy the file named system under windows\ system32\ config in the vista temporary directory to the c:\ sata directory. (why copy the system file? Because that is where the registry database is located.)
Execute a.cmd. If the prompt is successful, copy the current system file back to its original location to overwrite the original file. In this way, we add our driver information to the registry of vista.
Shut down and restart the computer to enter the vista installer, if there is no blue screen, congratulations! (half of the success here!)
Continue with the installation program. Restart automatically for the second time. After reboot-blue screen! Quickly analyze the cause, N brain cells agree that it is still the problem of the driver! Originally, the previous work only dealt with the installation program of vista, but now the system files of vista on the hard disk are copied from the vista installation CD! You don't have the installation CD! Not those things in the previous Vista temporary directory.
If we know the reason, it will be easy to do it, and we will do it again. Only this time the object is no longer the vista temporary directory. Instead, it is the disk where the vista system is located (I am on the E disk, and everyone will change it according to their own situation).
No.1: copy your own disk driver files to the relevant location in the vista system directory.
Specifically: * .sys files are placed in E:\ windows\ system32\ drivers, and * .inf and other files are placed in E:\ windows\ inf.
No.2. Copy the file named system under E:\ windows\ system32\ config to the c:\ sata directory. Execute a.cmd. If the prompt is successful, copy the current system file back to its original location to overwrite the original file.
