A number of virtual machines are needed to experiment in the development. The reinstallation process is too tedious, and the exact same system can be cloned quickly through the vmware virtual machine's own software. The following will show you how to clone the vmware virtual machine. The VMware version I use is 11.0.0.

1. Select an installed virtual machine under my computer node on the left side of the Vmware Workstation main panel. My own is Hadoop-Senior02.

2. From the right mouse button menu on the Hadoop-Senior02 virtual machine, select, manage-> Clone, and click Clone.

3. Keep the next step until the Clone types panel appears, select create a complete clone, and click next.

4. Define the name and location of the virtual machine, and finally create a folder to put the virtual machine, and click finish.

5. The virtual machine is being cloned. Click close when you are finished.

6. Right-click the newly created virtual machine Hadoop-Senior01, and select Settings.

7. Set the memory to the appropriate value in the virtual machine settings panel. Here is 1GB.

8. Still in the virtual machine settings panel, select the network adapter and click Advanced

9. Click the generate MAC address in the pop-up advanced settings panel of the network adapter, and click until you exit the virtual machine settings panel. This is the virtual machine cloning completed. Because Hadoop-Senior01 is a clone of Hadoop-Senior02, the MAC address shown here is the same. This is problematic and must be regenerated.
