  In performance testing, students often use PerfMon internal plug-in to monitor pressure testing resources. This article briefly introduces how to use the plug-in.

I. Install PerfMon plug-in

Start jmeter and go to Options Plugins Manager

Enter perfmon in the Available Plugins input box. Since this machine has been installed, it can only be updated after the Installed Plugins search. After the installation is completed, jmeter will restart.

Plugins monitored are as follows: lib directory has two jar packages, ext directory has one, download address will be introduced at the end of the article, packaged and shared with ServerAgent service

2. Start ServerAgent Service

ServerAgent is used to monitor the machines to be monitored. Each monitored pressure test server needs to start this service. The following describes how to start Windows environment in Linux and Windows environment: just double-click startAgent.bat, as shown in the following figure, to prove that the startup is successful

Linux environment: Go to ServerAgent directory and execute sh startAgent.sh to start service

Third, the development of performance test cases start jmeter, add thread group, and then right-click thread group "add" monitor "jp@ gc-PerfMon Metrics Collector

Click Add Row to enter the IP and port of the monitoring machine (default 4444), monitoring indicators (cpu, Memory, etc.)

Click the Start button to execute threads to monitor server performance metrics (you must execute performance tests to monitor resource metrics)
