Shulou(Shulou.com)06/01 Report--

Note: asm load balancing can only reach the minimum disk size. No matter how many disks you have, it is recommended that you add disks of the same size as the disks you are currently using.

Three redundancy methods provided by ORACLE ASM

Redundancy--- redundancy

Three modes: external, normal, high

External, normal, high

In general, the disk groups required for the three modes:

External 1 block

Normal 3 pieces

High 5 yuan

1. External redundancy (external redundancy):

It means that Oracle does not help you manage images, and the function is implemented by external storage systems, such as RAID technology; effective disk space is the sum of all disk device space.

2. Default redundancy (normal redundancy):

Indicates that Oracle provides 2 mirrors to protect data (once mirrored data), and the effective disk space is 1 to 2 (most used) of the sum of all disk devices.

3. High redundancy (high redundancy):

Indicates that Oracle provides 3 mirrors to protect data (mirror data twice) to improve performance and data security, requiring a minimum of three disks (three failure group)

Effective disk space is the sum of the size of all disk devices. Although the level of redundancy is high, the cost of hardware is also the highest.

1. Problem description

The disk group does not have enough space, and the utilization rate has reached 91.5%. Storage capacity needs to be expanded in time.

2. View the current disk group capacity and utilization

3. Check the disk UUID and permissions to be added

Uuid check: node1: [grid@leo ~] $/ sbin/scsi_id-- whitelisted-- replace-whitespace-- device=/dev/dm-7350002ac0012a65d0node2: [root@leo ~] $/ sbin/scsi_id-- whitelisted-- replace-whitespace-- device=/dev/dm-7350002ac0012a65d0 permission check: node1: [root@leo dev] # ls-l | grep dm-7brw-rw---- 1 grid oinstall 223 6 Jul 6 02:55 dm-7node2: [root@leo dev] # ls-l | grep dm-7brw-rw---- 1 grid oinstall 253, 7 Jul 6 02:59 dm-7

4. Add ASM disks to the disk group

Alter diskgroup data add disk'/ dev/dm-7' rebalance power 11

5. View the rebalance of ASM disk groups

6. View the adjusted disk group information

Select inst_id,operation,state,power,sofar,est_rate,est_minutes from gv$asm_operation

Check the disk group and device name corresponding to ASM under Linux

SQL > select name,path from v$asm_disk_stat

[root@leo ~] # / etc/init.d/oracleasm listdisks

VOL1

VOL2

VOL3

[root@leo] # / etc/init.d/oracleasm querydisk-p VOL1

Disk "VOL1" is a valid ASM disk

/ dev/sdc1: LABEL= "VOL1" TYPE= "oracleasm"
