Enter net localgroup managers / add to create a group managers

1.1.2 using the Windows Server graphical interface to manage Windows Server Core

The following configuration will enable the use of WebServer management tools with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition installed to manage Windows Server Core.

Log in to Windows Server Core as an administrator.

Enter ipconfig to view the IP address.

Enter netsh firewall set opmode disable to turn off the Windows firewall. If you do not turn off the firewall, you can run the command to open only specific ports:

Netsh firewall set opmode enable turn on the firewall

Netsh firewall add portopening TCP 445 Netbios-ds

Enter net user administrator A1! Changing the password of the administrator administator is the same as the password of the administrator administrator account on the computer on WebServer, so that it will succeed when WebServer uses the graphical interface management tools to connect to Windows Server Core.

On the WebServer where Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition is installed, use the administrator administrator password A1! Log in. Click "start" à "run", enter MMC, and click "OK".

MMC is the Microsoft Management console, which can add multiple snap-ins to a single management console and is easy to use.

In the console dialog box, click "File" à "add / remove snap-ins".

In the add or remove snap-ins dialog box that appears, select Local users and groups, and click add.

In the "Select Target Machine" dialog box that appears, select "another computer", enter the IP address of the Windows Server Core computer, click "finish", and click "OK".

Now the administrative tools can be changed to manage users and groups on the Windows Server Core server.

For easy management in the future, you can save it, click "File" and enter the file name "users and groups of Server Core". You can open the snap-in directly by clicking on the management tool in the future.

You can also add more snap-ins to MMC. In the following figure, a service snap-in for managing the Server Core server is added to manage the services on the Server Core.
