Parameterization based on 1.DataTable

Datatable is the easiest way to implement parameterization provided by QTP. QTP encapsulates it and provides many methods. DataTable includes two Sheet:Global and Local. Where Globle is applicable to all Action; and Local is only applicable to the current Action

Which file does the data in Datatable come from or in which file does the data exist? When the script is recorded, the script is saved, and a Default.xls file is generated in the root directory of the script, from which all the data in the Datatable comes from.

two。 Parameterization of environment variables

The Environment object provides access to environment variables. There are two sources of environment variables: environment variables and user-defined environment variables. When parameterizing, in the "Value Configuraiont Options" dialog box, select the radio button "Parameter", click the bottom triangle button in the drop-down list box, and select the parameter source as "Environment" in the drop-down list.

1) Name: used to set the name of the environment variable for the call

2) Value: set the value of the environment variable

3) Type: the type used to set environment variables (including internal environment variables and external environment variables)

Note: before calling external environment variables, you need to set up external environment variables. Otherwise, the required external environment variables cannot be found in the dialog box, the parameterization process of environment variables is relatively simple, and when multiple Action calls the same parameter in the same Test, it is a good way to use environment variables as parameters, but it also has a big disadvantage that each parameter value should be specified when using environment variables.

3) using external data sources to realize parameterization, there are four commonly used external files: text file, Excel table, database and XML.

a. Before you can use a text file for parameterization, you must define the parameters in the text file. It should be noted that the format of the parameters defined in the text file is different, and the parsing methods of the parameters are also different.
