The Realme Narzo 50A is expected to be the entry variant of the upcoming Narzo portfolio for mobile phones. Now, a new checklist reveals some technical details about the phone's main and front-facing cameras. The list indicates that the alleged smartphone will feature a 12MP main rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The message came shortly after separate reports indicated the smartphone had been BIS certified-suggesting the launch date for the phone should be approaching.

In terms of camera specifications, the Realme Narzo 50A, internally code-named RMX3430, is equipped with a 13MP main rear camera with an effective image output of 12.5 MP. The camera appears to support both JPEG and DNG image formats, suggesting that the Realme Narzo 50A may get RAW photography mode through the main rear camera unit. It is said to be equipped with a 1/3 inch type sensor that can withstand 1.2 micron pixels. It is unclear whether this is the effective pixel size or actual pixel size of the sensor used. The main rear camera reportedly doesn't have any image stabilization technology-which is odd since the phone tends to be equipped with RAW photography, which is a fairly advanced feature.

In terms of front-facing cameras, the Realme Narzo 50A tends to be equipped with 8MP, f/2.0 units. The sensor is reportedly set to a 1/3.6 inch type with 1.1 micron pixels. Interestingly, even front-facing cameras support the DNG file format. Otherwise the front-facing camera seems to be a standard unit and has a fixed focus mechanism. Given that the feature set sounds a bit confusing, it remains to be seen what exactly the camera settings for the Realme Narzo 50A are.

The Narzo 50A is expected to be the successor to the Narzo 30 series. The company will reportedly skip the Narzo 40 series because the Chinese believe the number "4" represents bad luck. It has also been cited as the reason why One Plus never rolled out One Plus 4. Huawei did, however, stick to the chronological order of its "P" and "Mate" series, launching the P40 and Mate 40 at the same time. Given that the Narzo 50 series appears to have been BIS certified, a release date should be announced soon.
