How to choose an online video course that suits you?

Through the online education platform, I easily learned the necessary knowledge and skills, and recorded a series of video courses for IT Helpdesk engineers. Buying online courses is non-refundable and exchangeable. As a beneficiary of online education, I share my experiences and suggestions on how to choose suitable online video courses based on my experience in learning and recording video courses.

The preferred need to determine learning goals, needless to say, according to their own needs to determine whether it is for textual research or want to learn practical experience or skills that can be used directly.

Secondly, we can screen the optional courses from six latitudes, such as lecturer background, course integrity, purchase evaluation, video sound quality, video picture quality and lecturer style, in order to select a more suitable online video course.

Lecturer background

Lecturers are generally divided into three categories: theoretical type, theoretical type and practical type. Most of the lecturers in all kinds of IT training centers are theoretical, and may have less experience in practical projects; lecturers who have worked in their posts for some years focus on daily practical applications; and a small number of lecturers with strong comprehensive ability have both theory and actual combat. The above is not absolute, you can learn this information from the instructor's personal introduction.

The first choice is a mixture of theoretical and practical lectures. relatively speaking, they can speak more vividly and thoroughly what they have learned, combine theory with practice, and better reflect the advantages of putting what they have learned into practice and drawing lessons from others. In the case of limited choice, you can choose according to your textual research or practical application.

Curriculum integrity

You can check the course introduction and catalogue to understand the instructor's overall idea of developing the course. Through the course introduction, we can know the learning goal of this course. Through the course catalogue, you can know whether the instructor decomposes the learning goal into several knowledge points from the student's point of view for learning, reviewing and consulting.

Purchase evaluation

When checking the praise, count the same content in the praise, because these similarities are the common recognition of the course students who have purchased the course. At the same time, you also need to check the bad reviews, focusing on whether the evaluation is objective and whether the lecturer's reply is pertinent and understandable or acceptable.

Video sound quality

Listen to the free part of the course and feel whether the background sound is messy, whether the lecturer has an accent and whether it is too fast, and if so, whether it is acceptable. If the lecturer is not a novice and the background sound of the newly recorded course is messy, it means that the lecturer did not take the exam from the student's point of view, and the slightly better microphone costs only a few hundred yuan. Cluttered background sound coupled with excessive speed of speech can be said to be a disaster for learning video lessons.

Video quality

Video quality is related to video resolution when recording video, video transcoding on online platform and network speed. The resolution of my recording video course is at least 1080p. After uploading to a certain platform, I choose to play high-definition video online with average definition and not as clear as local playback. When the Internet speed permits, we try to choose high-definition mode to play video courses online.

Lecturer style

Free audition courses can intuitively feel the lecturer's teaching style, obviously very dislike or unsuitable, it is not necessary to force, emotional pleasure to learn is very important. If the optional courses are limited, you don't have to mind too much. after all, we are focused on learning skills, as long as the knowledge points are acceptable.

After determining the learning goals, we can select the optional courses based on six latitudes, such as lecturer background, course integrity, purchase evaluation, video sound quality, video picture quality and lecturer style, and choose a more suitable online video course.
