2. After installing RAC, the CRS process stack starts automatically with the startup of the operating system by default.

It is sometimes necessary to turn off this feature for maintenance purposes. Log in to root and execute the following command:

[root#] $CRS_HOME/bin/crsctl disable crs

Command to reopen the property

[root#] $CRS_HOME/bin/crsctl enable crs
