SCCM 2016 configuration Management Series (Part 1-4)

Describes the configuration of Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) on AD01, and then joins the Configuration Manager server (CM16) into the newly created domain. Then you create users, user groups, and OU in Active Directory, and create a system management container. Finally, delegate the permissions of the Configuration Manager server to the System Management container

Before we start, we have prepared the Windows Server 2012 OS host (or virtual host). Please select Windows Server 2012 Standard with GUI (desktop experience) when installing the OS system.

Server hardware configuration

Step 1 AD Server (ADDS) configuration

Note: perform the following steps as a local administrator on the AD01 server

Set up the Active Directory domain service, which we can click manually through the appropriate wizard in Server Manager, or we can use PowerShell to automate it. We can choose the method that suits you according to your actual needs.

Open Server Manager . Click add roles and Features

For installation type, select a role-based or feature-based "installed" installation

For Server Selection, select the server from the server pool, and then select AD01
