This article introduces how to install Centos 7.6 in Linux system, the content is very detailed, interested friends can refer to it, I hope it can be helpful to you.

Record the process of installing CentOS 7.6 system

First, installation preparation (required to install physical machine server):

1. The server needs to RAID the disk of the new server before installing the system, the server manufacturer is different, the RAID way is more or less the same, if it is not necessary, it will be made into RAID 5, if you have the opportunity to introduce the server disk to do RAID separately.

two。 To prepare the system image of CentOS 7.6, you can download it from various open source mirror stations. This download address is referred to: http://mirror.nsc.liu.se/centos-store/. Download is to pay attention to download the full version of the image file, the general image file size is about 4G, for example, the installed CentOS 7.6image file size is 44.3G.

3. Will download the system image file into a CD or U disk boot disk, generally I will use UltraISO to make the system boot disk, the software is simple to use, no longer introduce in detail.

4. Insert the system boot disk into the server USB or CD-ROM drive, and when the server starts, follow the prompts to enter the BIOS to set the startup items or directly choose to boot from the CD or U disk according to the shortcut keys prompted. Different server brands operate in more or less the same way.

2. Installation (this installation is carried out on a virtualized cloud)

1. Skip the startup item and related server selection and go directly to the system installation phase.

(1) follow the prompts to use the keyboard up and down keys to select "Install CentOS 7":

(2) after waiting for a while, you will be prompted with the following interface. Since I usually use the English interface for installation, select "English" by default for this step, and then click "Continue" in the lower right corner:

(3) then the following interface appears. First, the configuration that needs to be done in the previous section mainly includes time setting, language support selection and software installation selection (choose to install in server mode or desktop mode, or other modes):

(4) set the date and time, click the icon, and then enter the settings interface:

You can use the mouse to select a region on the map to determine the server time. China can choose Shanghai, and you can set the time and date below. Click "Done" in the upper left corner after the setting is completed, and you will return to the interface when you just entered:

(5) set the language supported by the system, click the icon shown in the screenshot to enter the settings interface. English has been selected by default, and you can also drop down to find Chinese, then select simplified Chinese. After the configuration is completed, click "Done" in the upper left corner:

(6) Click the software selection shown in the screenshot, and then select the system installation mode. This installation is a desktop version, so select "GNOME Desktop", and then click "Done" to confirm:

Note that it will take a while to determine when you return, as shown in the following screenshot:

(7) after the above configuration is completed, the drop-down will see the following screenshot, in which you need to configure INSTALLATION DESTINATION (system installation location, disk partition), NETWORK & HOST NAME (network and hostname configuration), KDUMP and SECURITY POLICY (these two are not required for the time being):

(8) Click INSTALLATION DESTINATION, select the installation location of the system, and partition the disk:

Because it is installed on the virtualized cloud, 100g disks are allocated to install the system. After entering, the disks mounted in the default selection are selected, and the partition is automatically configured (Automatically configure pattitioning):

Select manually configure partition (I will configure partitioning), and then click "Done" to confirm:

Click Done to jump to the partition interface. In the LVM drop-down options, you can select standard partition, logical partition (LVM), etc. This time, select LVM logical volume (mainly considering the convenience of expanding disk in the future):

(9) Click the "+" sign to manually partition. This time, it is mainly divided into three partitions: boot, swap, /. The specific sizes are as follows. Click "Done" when the partition is completed:

After clicking "Done", you will be prompted to modify the disk. If there is no problem, click "Accept Changes":

(10) to configure the network and host name, click to enter the configuration interface:

Only configure the hostname here. After the network and other systems are installed, configure it. Click "Apply" to apply after the hostname is modified, and then click "Done" to confirm the completion:

(11) then after the interface, click "Bgin Installation" in the lower right corner to start the installation:

When you enter the installation interface, you will also be prompted whether to configure the ROOT user password and create an ordinary user, which can be configured as needed (usually the password of the root user will be configured):

(12) wait for the installation to complete and click to restart "Reboot":

After the restart is completed, enter the system initialization settings interface. The FINISH CONFIGURATION in the lower right corner is grayed out and cannot be selected:

What needs to be configured here is LICENSING. Click enter, then select accept, and then click "Done" to confirm:

At this point, you can click on the gray FINISH CONFIGURATION in the lower right corner, and then go to the next configuration interface:

(13) system initialization interface, including

Note that the name filled in here will directly become the ordinary user you created by default, and the password behind it is the password of the ordinary user. After logging in to the system, you can open the terminal and see that the current terminal is the user of the Major you just filled in.

(14) at this time, the system installation is complete. If you want to log in with root users, you can log out, select not list on the login screen, and then enter the root user name and password to log in to the system with root. However, if you log in to root for the first time, you still need to initialize the configuration, similar to before:

Summary: Centos 7.6 installation depends on graphics, convenient, simple and clear, except for a few places according to the need to pay attention to the configuration, the rest are relatively simple, this record is a bit verbose.
