Experimental environment

Operating system: Window Server 2008 R2

Database: Oracle 11.2.0.1

I. Environmental preparation

In the Window operating system, there are three virtual disks, 20g, 10G, 8G; they are used to create ASM disks, and they are all offline. Because ASM is used under Windows, the hard disk cannot be partitioned, so a bare device must be created, which is different from using ASM under Linux.

Create bare devices and ASM disk groups

1. Create a bare device:

Currently, the three virtual disks of the OS system are offline, corresponding to disks 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Take disk 1 as an example to create a bare device. The steps are as follows:

To create a bare device, the hard drive must be online and initialized, right-click disk 1 and select online.

Then right-click disk 1 to select initialize disk:

After the online success, right-click to select "New simple Volume":

Then follow the wizard.

Be sure to select "do not assign a drive letter or drive path (D)" in this step, and then next:

Select "do not format this volume" here, and next:

After completion, disk 1 is already a 20-gigabyte bare device.

According to how disk 1 creates a bare device, disk 2 and 3 are also created as bare devices:

2. Create an ASM disk group

An asmtoolg graphical interface operation and asmtool command line interface are provided in the grid package, which is located in the asmtool folder of the grid folder, as shown in the figure:

Double-click asmtoolg to start creation, as shown in the figure:

\ Device\ Harddisk1\ Partition1 is disk 1, and the disk group name uses the default DATA. If the selected partition is not a bare device, like several partitions of the disk0 above, it is gray and cannot be followed up. Next step:

After clicking finish, the ASM disk group + DATA has been created successfully. In the same way, use disks 2 and 3 to create ASM disk groups + FRA and + OCR_VOTE, respectively

3. Install grid:

You can select "stand-alone server configuration" during installation, as shown in the following figure:

Create the first disk group OCR_VOTE to be used as an arbitration disk (reserve two later to create DATA and FRA disk groups)

Create DATA and FRA disk groups, run ASMCA on the command line, display the GUI interface and select create. The disk groups are named "DATA" and "FRA", and select the remaining two disks.

Fourth, install Oracle software

Fifth, create a database

Run dbca on the command line

You need to enter the password of the ASMSNMP user that was set when installing Grid
