The Windows system enhances the ability of administrators to configure and manage ActiveDirectory effectively, and even very large enterprises with multiple forests, domains and sites can be easily managed. So how do I log in to the ActiveDirectory domain?

WindowsXP system is the mainstream ActiveDirectory workstation operating system at present. Take the WindowsXP (SP2) system as an example, the steps to log in ActiveDirectory on the WindowsXP system workstation are as follows:

Step 1, log in to the WindowsXP (SP2) system as a system administrator, right-click the "Network neighbor" icon on the desktop, and select the "Properties" command. Open the Network connection dialog box, right-click the Local connection icon, and select the Properties command, as shown in figure 1.

Step 3, open the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" dialog box, select the "use the following DNS server address" checkbox, and enter the DNS server IP address configured in DC in the edit box (such as 10.115.223.60). Click the OK button, and click OK again in the returned Local connection Properties dialog box, as shown in figure 3.

Tip: changing the name of the current computer is not necessary to join the ActiveDirectory domain. However, in order to make it easier to confirm the identity of the computer, it is recommended that you change the system default computer name to a meaningful name.

Step 6, open the computer name change dialog box again, select the Domain radio box that belongs to the area, and enter the domain name (such as msserver.com.cn) in the Domain edit box. Click the OK button, as shown in figure 6.

Step 7, open the computer name change dialog box and ask for a user name and password with permission to join the domain. It is important to note that the user name edit box here should enter the administrator account of the domain controller and enter a valid password. Click the OK button after typing, as shown in figure 7.

Step 9, follow the prompts to restart the computer. This process takes a long time because the computer needs to connect to the network and create a domain list when the computer starts up after joining the ActiveDirection domain. Press the Ctrl+Alt+Del key combination to switch to the login dialog box, enter the ActiveDirectory domain user account (such as itchenchen) in the user name edit box, and enter the initial password in the password edit box. Then click the drop-down button to the right of Log in, select the domain name (such as jinshouzhi) in the drop-down menu, and click OK, as shown in figure 9.
