1. Install the required packages for ORACLEASM on the system

View system version

Uname-r

The current environment is

2.6.18-164.el5

Download the appropriate package for installation

download

Oracleasm-support-2.1.7-1.el5.x86_64.rpm

Oracleasmlib-2.0.4-1.el5.x86_64.rpm

Oracleasm-2.6.18-164.el5-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm

Then install it.

Rpm-ivh oracleasm-support-2.1.7-1.el5.x86_64.rpm oracleasmlib-2.0.4-1.el5.x86_64.rpm oracleasm-2.6.18-164.el5-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm

2. Prepare the disk

Fdisk / dev/sdb

Fdisk / dev/sdc

Fdisk / dev/sdd

Fdisk / dev/sde

Produce

/ dev/sdb1 / dev/sdc1 / dev/sdd1 / dev/sde1

3. Initialize

/ etc/init.d/oracleasm enable

/ etc/init.d/oracleasm configure

Default user to own the driver interface [oracle]:

Default group to own the driver interface [oinstall]:

Start Oracle ASM library driver on boot (yzone) [y]:

Fix permissions of Oracle ASM disks on boot (yzone) [y]:

Writing Oracle ASM library driver configuration: [OK]

Scanning system for ASM disks: [OK]

4. Make ASM disk

/ etc/init.d/oracleasm createdisk D1 / dev/sdb1

/ etc/init.d/oracleasm createdisk D2 / dev/sdc1

/ etc/init.d/oracleasm createdisk D3 / dev/sdd1

/ etc/init.d/oracleasm createdisk D4 / dev/sde1

5. Create an ASM instance using DBCA

According to the prompt of DBCA, it needs to be executed under the root user.

/ u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin/localconfig add

If the startup is not normal, or if there is a disk that is not recognized, you need to

/ u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin/localconfig reset

And set the recognition location Change Disk Discovery Path in DBCA, and set it to

/ dev/oracleasm/disks/*

Select 4 disks and make them in NORMAL mode (one redundant)

That's it.

Error:

If you encounter a disk that cannot be recognized, check if selinux is open, and if so, close selinux.

If you encounter ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kfmNew], [2], [], [] while establishing an ASM disk group

Check to see if the ASM instance has been started, and if so, you need to shut it down, and then restart the ASM instance before creating it.

At this point, if you check the log / u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/cfgtoollogs/dbca/trace.log, you will see

ASM m_bReaderStarted: false.
