Note: low-level formatting should not be used casually, this is a plan to kill a thousand people and injure themselves.

The whole process is divided into three stages: 1, download and install the formatting tool HDDLLF (Hard Disk Low Level Format Tool); 2, low-level format disk; 3, high-level format disk.

Double-click HDDLLFsetup.4.25.exe to start the installer. The installation process is as follows:

1. Start Hard Disk Low Level Format Tool

2. Click Agree to accept the license. I can't use it if I don't accept it.

3. Support this tool with a sponsorship of US $3.30. Here I choose to use the free Continue for free.

4. Select the second disk, USB, with a capacity of 500.1g. This is not base 1024, but base 1000.

This tab is for low use.

You can erase the MBR, which is faster, but you will lose the data on the hard drive.

6. Check to erase MBR

Click FORMAT THIS DEVICE when checked, and the final confirmation dialog box pops up. Click Yes.

It is normal that this disk is not visible in Windows 10 Explorer after the low-level format. Because it hasn't been advanced formatted yet.

Advanced formatted disk

1. In Explorer, on the left navigation bar, right-click the computer, and select manage from the pop-up menu.

Click device Manager and pop up the initialization disk dialog box.

Disk 2 is a disk that has just been lowly formatted and has not yet been allocated. Right-click it, select New simple Volume from the pop-up menu, then press the wizard and click all the way.

This is where the volume is created. Then it will be formatted automatically.

Formatting is also fast.

Finally, you can see the disk in Explorer.
