# what is user isolation?

To give you a brief introduction, to isolate users is to create a login user for the client user on the server, and to create a file directory for each user. When users access, they can only access their own file directory, not other people's directory.

# procedure

# the first step is to install the iis service, which integrates ftp services

The next step is to create a user's lili,lihong home directory on the server. When visiting, you can log in to your own home directory with lili,lihong. You can't log in to other people's home directories or see other people's home directories.

Verification and testing:

Enter ftp://192.168.177.20 on the client side, as shown in the following figure, and the login screen appears. You can enter the user you just created on the server. I just created lili and lihong.

# Anonymous authentication is enabled where ftp authentication is enabled. Anonymous authentication means that you can enter it without entering a password. Its file directory is public, all under localuser, as shown below:

# each user can upload and delete files under his or her home directory. By default, the first place to enter is an anonymous directory.

# right-click in anonymous mode and click to log in as follows

Then you can enter the user login interface, enter the user's name, and you can enter.

# summing up user isolation ftp, the difference between user isolation ftp and ordinary ftp is that users can only enter their own home directories, while ordinary ftp can see all user directories after logging in. If one is accidentally deleted, the data is all gone. In fact, you can set permissions. Personal feeling, this user isolation ftp is not bad.
