The icon of RCP can be displayed in two ways. Both display modes are controlled through configuration files.

1. Plug-in or RCP project, you can create a * .product file

This file provides an interface similar to plugin.xml. It provides the functions of project startup, package export, project personalization and so on. What I like most is its package export function. Some time ago, there was an article about how to deal with dependency packages after upgrade.

(1) create a product file, File-> new-> other, and select plug-in Development- > Product configuration

(2) if you use run... If you have started a project in product (non-application) mode, you can select your project in the third item of the interface: Use a launch configuration. If you have an extension point setting for product in plugin.xml, you can select your project in the second item of the interface: Use an existing product. It is suggested that the second item be considered first and then the third item.

(3) if plugin.xml does not have an extension point setting for product, creating a product file will create one in plugin.xml.

Open the second Product ID of * .product on the overview tab, and you can new, which will add a product extension point setting in plugin.xml. This is not recommended. There is no need to keep more than two product extension point settings in plugin.xml.
