Deploy and publish the chat server topology

On the computer lync.itwish.cn that is running Skype for Business Server and has Skype for Business Server management tools installed, log in using an account that is a member of the local user group (or an account with equivalent user rights).

Start the Topology Builder.

In the console tree, navigate to the persistent chat Pool node and expand it to select the Skype for Business Server pool, or right-click the node and select New persistent chat Pool.

You must define the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the pool and select "this pool has multiple servers".

Define computers in this pool and add persistent chat servers

Define a simple display name for the persistent chat server pool. Custom clients can use this display name, especially if they have multiple persistent chat server pools, to distinguish between chat rooms. Defines the port that the persistent chat server uses to communicate with the Skype for Business Server front-end server. The default port is 5041. Select the use this pool as the default pool check box to specify this persistent chat server pool as the default pool for the current site or for all sites.

Do one of the following to define the SQL storage at the back end of the persistent chat server (where the chat room content is stored):

In SQL Server FQDN, specify the FQDN of the SQL Server on which you want to create the new SQL Server database.

Select default instance to use the default instance, or specify a different instance, select named instance, and then specify the instance to use.

To use existing SQL Server storage, in the drop-down list, click the name of the SQL Server storage you want to use.

To specify a new SQL Server database, click New, and then in define New SQL Storage, do the following:

Define compliance SQL Server Stora

Define file storage. A file store is a folder that stores copies of all files that have been uploaded to the file repository.

To define a new file store, perform the following steps:

In File Server FQDN, specify the FQDN of the computer on which you want to create a new file store.

In File sharing, specify the file storage to use.

Select the front-end server pool to use as the next hop for this persistent chat server pool. This is the front-end server pool that can route persistent chat server requests to this pool.

To save the configuration, click finish. The persistent chat server pool appears in the Topology Builder (with specific pool settings).

Prepare the DNS A record, log in to the DNS server, open the DNS- SERVER-forward search zone-itwish.cn zone, and create a new host A record value: umpool.itwish.cn 172.16.10.140

In the console tree, right-click Skype for Business Server 2015, and then click publish Topology.

On the publish Topology page, click next.

On the publish Wizard complete page, verify that the topology has been published successfully, and then click finish.

Install the persistent chat plug-in

Log in to the persistent chat server, configure the computer name um, set the default ip address 172.16.10.140, and join the itwish.cn domain environment

To enable windows update update, please use Windows Update to make sure that Windows Server has been updated to the latest version.

Insert the Skype for Business Server 2015 installation media. Please double-click the setup.exe program to "install". The installation media requires Microsoft Visual C++ to run. Microsoft Visual C++ will be installed automatically.

Smart setup is a new feature in Skype for Business Server 2015 that allows you to connect to the Internet to check for updates during installation. This ensures that you get the latest product updates during installation, providing a better experience. Click install to begin the installation.

Read the license agreement carefully and if you agree to the terms, select "I accept the terms of the license agreement", and then click OK.

So far. The core components of Skype for Business Server 2015 are installed on the server. The core components include the following: the Skype for Business Server 2015 deployment Wizard, which provides a startup panel to install the various components of Skype for Business Server 2015, and the Skype for Business Server 2015 Management Shell, a preconfigured PowerShell program that allows you to manage Skype for Business Server 2015.

Step 1: install the local configuration store

A. check the prerequisite information for step 1, which can be accessed by clicking the drop-down menu under the heading of step 1. Click run in step 1 to launch the install Local configuration Store wizard.

Select retrieve directly from the central management store (requires read access to the central management store), and then click next.

C. After installing the local configuration store, you can click "View Log" to view the log. Click finish to close the install Local configuration Storage wizard, and then return to the Skype for business 2015-deployment Wizard step.

Step 2: install or remove Skype For Business Server components

A. check the prerequisite information for step 2, which can be accessed by clicking the drop-down menu under the heading of step 2. Click run in step 2 to launch the set up Skype for business server components wizard, and click next.

B. After installing the Skype for business server components, you can see "installing MgcServer.msi (ADDLOCAL=Feature_Chat_Server..."), that is, the components of the group chat room are being installed.

You can click "View Log" to view the log. Click finish to close the set Skype for business server components wizard, and then return to the Skype for business 2015-deployment Wizard step.

Step 3: request, install, or assign a certificate

A, check the prerequisites, and then click run next to step 3: request, install, or assign certificates.

B. on the Certificate Wizard page, select default Certificate, and click request.

C. On the "Certificate request" page, select CA, fill in the "friendly name", organization, organizational unit and other related data, including selecting the SIP domain, and select the advanced option.

On the delayed or immediate request page, you can accept the default send request to online Certificate Authority option by clicking next. If you select this option, an internal CA with automatic online registration must be available.

On the "Select Certificate Authority (CA)" page, select the "Select a CA from the list detected in your environment" option, and then select a known (registered with Active Directory Domain Services) CA from the list.

On the Certificate Authority account page, you will be prompted to provide credentials to request certificates and process certificate requests in CA. Default, and then click next.

G. On the specify alternate Certificate template page, to use the default Web server template, click next.

On the name and Security Settings page, specify a friendly name. By using a friendly name, you can quickly identify the certificate and purpose. Select Mark the private key of the certificate as exportable, and then click next.

On the configure other consumer alternative names page, add any other user alternative names that you need, including those that may be needed by other SIP domains in the future, by default, and then click finish. Return to the Certificate request page and stand-alone next.

On the Certificate request Summary page, check the information in the summary. If the information is correct, click next. If you need to correct or modify the settings, click back to return to the appropriate page to correct or modify.

On the executing Command page, click next.

On the online Certificate request status page, by default, the assign this certificate to Skype for business Server certificate usage check box is selected, and then click finish.

M, display the Certificate allocation page. Click next.

On the Certificate Store page, select the requested certificate. If you want to view the certificate, click View Certificate details, and then click next to continue.

On the executing Command page, check the output of the command. If you want to check the allocation process or see if there are errors or warnings, click View Log. When the check is complete, click finish.

On the Certificate Wizard page, verify that all services display a green check box indicating that certificates have been assigned, and then click close.

Q. The first three steps of verification have been completed on schedule. Make sure the green check box and the word "done" are displayed as shown in the figure.

Step 4: start the service

A. check the prerequisites for step 4: start the service.

B. You use Start-CsPool Start-CsWindowsService to start related services.

C. on the executing Command page, after starting all services successfully, click finish.

Run Windows Update again to see if there are any updates after installing the Skype for Business Server component. Click exit to close the deployment wizard.

When we are finished, let's go to the service management unit to restart the Lync Server service. Then open the control panel of Lync Server 2013, view the step options, and confirm that the um.itwish.cn status and replication are normal.

F. Select the persistent chat tab and no more warning messages appear.

Create a persistent chat administrator

To add a user to the persistent chat administrators security group-CsPersistentChatAdministrator, perform the following steps:

Log in to the computer that has Active Directory users and computers installed using an account that has permission to modify Active Directory group membership.

Click start, click all programs, click Administrative tools, and then click Active Directory users and computers.

In Active Directory users and computers, expand the domain name and click the Users container.

Right-click the security group CsPersistentChatAdministrator, and then click Properties. In the Properties dialog box, on the members tab, click add. In the Select user, computer, contact, or Group dialog box, enter the name of the object to select in the box, type the user name or display name of the user you want to add to the group, and then click OK. In the Properties dialog box, click OK.

Configure persistent chat server global configuration options in Skype for Business Server 2015

Log in to the computer lync.itwish.cn in your local deployment using the user account assigned to the CsPersistentChatAdministrator or CsAdministrator role.

Select Skype for Business Server Control Panel from the start menu or open a browser window and enter manage URL https://admin.itwish.cn

In the left navigation bar, click persistent chat, and then click persistent chat configuration. On the persistent chat configuration page, select the Global item, click Edit, and then click Show details. In New persistent chat configuration, you can do the following as needed, and click submit when you are finished.

In name, specify a name for the new configuration setting. By default, the site name already exists.

In default chat History, define the number of chat messages to be processed per chat room on the first request. By default, this number is 30. This is the global default value, and administrators can disable chat history based on each category.

In maximum File size (KB), select the maximum file size for each chat history. By default, this number is 20 MB (20000 KB). This is the maximum size of a file that can be uploaded to any chat room in the system that has been set to enable file upload through the corresponding Category.

"in participant Update restrictions, select the restrictions for participant updates." The persistent chat server sends list information (connecting to the chat room) to all participants until the number of connected users reaches this number. By default, this number is 75. This limit indicates the maximum number of participants in a given chat room, after which the persistent chat server stops sending updates to connected clients about the list of online people in the chat room.

In the persistent chat Strategy, select the Global item, click Edit, then click Show details, check the enable persistent chat function, and click submit when finished

On the Category page, click New, and then click Select Service. On the New Category page, enter the name of the pool as needed, check enable invitation, enable file upload, enable chat history, adjust membership, add allowed members, rejected people, and creators, and click submit when you are finished.

Log in to a persistent chat room to visit URL

Manage the creation of a chat room, fill in the relevant information, and add people who are allowed to access the chat room. Note: the login person needs to have the permission to create chat rooms. You can adjust the persistent chat and category in the skype control panel.
