1. Prepare to start building the WDS server.

1) in the virtual machine, the network connections between the client and the server are all set to host-only connection mode

2) configure the IPV4 address for the server, enter the network settings and set the IPV4 address of the server to 192.168.88.88

2. Install WDS service and DHCP service

1) Click the start menu, select Server Manager on the start menu, and click to enter.

5) Select "Select from Server" to select your computer's server, and then click next

4. Configure DHCP service.

1) Click the menu, select windows Management tools, and select DHCP Service. Click to enter.

2) Open ipv4 and select New scope.

3) enter the use New scope wizard and click next.

4) enter the active domain name (yun), and click next.

5) enter the scope to assign the start address and introduction address of the IP address. Then click next.

6) enter the reserved address range and click add. When the addition is complete, click next.

7). The default lease time for IP address is 8 days. Click next.

8) when configuring DHCP options, select "Yes" and click "next".

9) enter the gateway IP address and add it. After the addition is completed, select the next step.

10) add the IP address of the DNS server, and click next after adding.

12) at the activation domain, select "Yes", activate directly, and then select the next step.

This completes the configuration of the DHCP server.

5. Configure WDS service.

1) Click the Select CD logo, click Select Settings, and then enter.

2) Select CD/DVD. Then select use ISO image file on the right, click Browse, select the image file you want to add, and then add it. Click OK when you have finished adding, exit the editing page, and then click Select connection at the CD sign on the lower right.

3) Click the start menu, select "windows Management tools", click Open, and select "windows deployment Services" to enter.

4) enter the windows deployment service, click to open the server, select the host name of the computer, and then right-click to select "configure Server"

5) go to the requirements page for configuring the server and click "next" to continue.

6) go to the installation options page, click "Geographic Server", and then click "next"

7) remote installation folder is directly selected by default, and then click "next" to continue

8) go to the proxy DHCP service page, select all two options, and then click "next" to continue

9) enter the initial setup of the PXE server, because the server did not have a known client when we installed the system. So we select "respond to all client computers" and click "next" to continue.

10) Click "finish" directly after the configuration is completed.

6. Configure boot image.

1), start configuring the boot image, right-click "Boot Image" pop-up drop-down menu, and select add Boot Image.

2) enter the image file, select Browse, and click enter

3) enter the add windows image file, select the DVD drive, select the sources folder in the drive, and select the boot.win file. Finish adding the image file.

4) enter the image metadata. Click "next" directly.

5) enter the summary, take a look at your choices, and then click next

6) enter the progress of the task. When the progress of the task is completed, click finish.

7. Configure the installation image

1) start configuring the installation image. Right-click install Image and select add installation Image from the drop-down menu.

2) enter the image group, select the default in creating a named image group, and then click next

3) go to the image file page, select the image file you want to add, and then click next.

4) enter the available image, select the system you want to install, and then click next.

5) go to the summary interface, look at the files you have selected and the system you have chosen to install, and then click next.

6) enter the page completion page, and when the progress bar is full, click finish

Open another virtual connection, then complete the basic configuration, and then set to host-only connection mode. The virtual machine can be installed.
