In the face of sufficient user expectations, several major Internet phone manufacturers have also launched a variety of so-called 5G mobile phones, many of which have led to a lot of criticism and controversy. Just after Huawei unveiled the world's first 5G baseband SoC mobile chip Kirin series at IFA on September 6, Glory invited the media to visit Huawei's 5G laboratory on September 9. Xiong Junmin, vice president of Glory products, revealed to the public why Glory had been "low-key", showing the technology and layout that Glory had accumulated in the 5G field, and high-profile announcement that Glory Vera30, equipped with Kirin 990 series chips, would support dual-mode 5G Netcom.

There is no doubt that the silence before Glory is waiting for this moment of drawing a knife.

Accurate time + accurate technology, cut off the confusion of the industry

There is no doubt that the so-called 5G mobile phone market has been very hot in the first half of 2019. Some manufacturers use the Qualcomm 5G base, which only supports NSA networking solutions, to promote preemptive products, while others release 5G mobile phones but are unable to produce them in mass production.

These schemes that fooled consumers' enthusiasm for changing machines were also perfunctory in the end. But these actions do confuse the 5G mobile phone market into a stupid book to some extent.

The x50 released in 2017, objectively speaking, the value of experimental products is far greater than commercial products.

In fact, chip manufacturers step on some mistakes, do not accurately understand the industry cycle is a high incidence situation. In the 3G era, there are still dozens of baseband manufacturers in the world, but there are only a few left today. it can be seen that the communication baseband is a high "pit rate" industry. Qualcomm's mistake directly pushed most of the domestic Internet phones to the embarrassing situation that only PPT phones and defective 5G phones can be produced this year. Until today, Qualcomm x55 has not been officially released, and SoC integration is unknown.

If we estimate the industry cycle, we will find that Huawei's Barone 5000 is already ahead of Qualcomm's competitor generation. When Kirin 990 series chips were released for commercial use, it had already formed a huge lead over the Qualcomm x50.

From the perspective of the mobile communications industry, it is difficult to make up for this cycle in a short time.

This year, Zhao Ming, president of Glory, said that this is a year when the wind knows the grass, and many manufacturers' underwear will be exposed. The hole dug by the Qualcomm x50 for the 5G era is undoubtedly a spectacular industrial storm. Now, the underwear of many Internet phone manufacturers are showing-they want to taste the 5G dividend as soon as possible, but they really want to pursue it.

The deeper contradiction behind this is that the terminal manufacturers absolutely rely on the supply chain, and the harm of not mastering the basic technology is constantly rising. If there are industrial loopholes in the key links of the supply chain, or if they are out of touch with other self-developed technology manufacturers, it is easy for people with self-developed technology deficiency to lie down in the pit instantly, or simply play confusing punches with users.
