Oracle inventory stores configuration and operation information on the node and updates automatically when the node is deleted.

Oracle Rac 11g R2 is easy to remove nodes: logically unlock a cluster node from the cluster and shut it down, which can be separated from the cluster and then unlocked and used for other purposes.

If the unlocked cluster is in 11g R1 or earlier, you need to do the following: completely delete the node:

1. Delete an instance on a node

two。 Delete a node from the database

3. Remove a node from a cluster

1. Delete an instance

Call DBCA to delete.

two。 Delete from the database

Starting with Oracle 11g R2, use the deinstall tool to uninstall the Oracle software (database or grid home directory).

3. Remove from the cluster

Assuming there is no GNS

$cd $GRID_HOME/bin

$. / crsctl unpin css-n rac4

$cd $GRID_HOME/crs/install

$. / rootcrs.pl-delete-force-disable cluster resources and run only on nodes to be deleted

If it fails, the cluster resource must be stopped manually.

With root, execute the following from any node that still stays in the cluster

$cd $GRID_HOME/bin

$. / crsctl delete node-n rac4

Update oracle inventory after deleting the node

$cd $GRID_HOME/oui/bin

$. / runInstaller-updateNodeList ORACLE_HOME=$GRID_HOME "CLUSTER_NODES= {rac4}" CRS=TRUE-local

Delete grid Oracle home directory

$cd $GRID_HOME/deintall

. / deinstall-local

Update inventory after removing the software

Cd $GRID_HOME/oui/bin

. / runInstaller-updateNodeList ORACLE_HOME=$GRID_HOME "CLUSTER_NODES= {rac1,rac2,rac3}" CRS=TRUE
