The related configuration of raid in F2 interface

1. Press the F2 key to enter the system setup interface.

3. Select the first option Raid Controller in Slot X: … To enter the raid card management interface

4. If it is not clear whether the array has been configured, go to the third option Virtual Disk Management to view

If raid is not configured, the VD mgmt page is shown in the following figure:

If raid has been configured, the information about raid will be displayed.

If you need to delete the configured raid and reconfigure it, click Virtual Disk X: … Go to the information page of this virtual disk

Select Delete Virtual Disk, and then click Go

Go to the page of Go option, select confirm, and then click yes to delete raid

5. If you don't know your hard drive information, return to the Main Menu interface managed by raid card, and click the fourth option, Physical Disk Management.

6. Return to the raid card management interface, select the first option, Configuration Management, and start configuring raid

7. Select the first option on the page, Create Virtual Disk, to create a raid

8. Select the raid level to configure here in the first line Select RAID Level (this tutorial takes raid5 as an example)

P.s.:raid 0 requires one or more hard drives, so there is no guarantee for data security

Raid 1 must use two hard drives, one for data storage and the other for backup.

Raid 5 requires three or more hard drives, one of which is used to back up data

9. Click Select Physical Disks to enter the select disk interface

10. Click on the box to select the hard drive, and then click the last line of Apply Changes

Click ok

11. Click OK to return to the previous interface

1. Enter the disk name and the disk size (all sizes are selected in this article)

two。 Check the Fast option on the Default Initialization line

3. Click the last line Create Virtual Disk option

Click Ok to finish the creation

Click Exit in the upper right corner to exit F2, and the setup is complete.

Attachment 2: set global hot backup Hot Spare

1. Go to the raid card management interface Main Menu and click the fourth option Physical Disk Management

two。 Click the hard drive you want to use as a hot spare. Here is the last disk with the status of ready (the other disks with the status of online are those that have been configured as raid).

3. Select Assign Global Hot Spare from the drop-down list of the first item Operation

Click Go

Click OK

Click back in the lower right corner

Click Exit in the upper right corner to exit F2, and the setup is complete.
