Preface

By default, mysql initializes large blocks of memory for caching database query data.

But my small host only has 640mb memory, and top query found that he ate 30% of my total memory, about 200MB.

But there are only a few MB data in this database, so I feel that this setting is very unreasonable.

After crawling, the memory footprint was finally reduced to 128MB.

Realization method

Modify / etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf directly

Append the following configuration to the end of the configuration

Performance_schema_max_table_instances=150table_definition_cache=150table_open_cache=64

Then service mysql restart can restart the service.
