Release on January 18, 2022: Google's first major update for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is slow and plagued by many errors. The California giant announced that it had suspended its December 2021 update to investigate reports of phone outages.

The company released a December update to Pixel 6 users earlier this month, but the report quickly caught its attention. Some users claim that after installing the update, their devices will be randomly disconnected or disconnected, making it difficult to use smartphones.

Google has confirmed that it will suspend December updates for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro due to various errors found by users. Google has probably identified these issues, and given the time it takes to release the patch, the update will be available again by the end of January.

The December update allows Pixel 6 users to enjoy a maximum wireless charging speed of 23W with the new Pixel Stand 2 charger, but it will take at least a month for smartphones to be fully compatible with it.

This also means that most Pixel 6 users (excluding those who have received incorrect updates) will be trapped at the security patch level from November 2021 to an unknown date at the end of the month. This is not good news, but preventing people from using their mobile phones to make calls may not be a better option.

If you have received the update and encountered a problem, Google recommends that you restore the factory settings by reverting to the November 2021 update. We hope that the next update in January 2022 will correct all errors found by users. Some people have also recently faced an error that prevents smartphones from charging properly.
