The mutillidae version in owaspbwa is 2.6.3.1, while the latest version of mutillidae is 2.6.10.

First back up the old version of mutillidae

Mv / var/www/mutillidae / var/www/mutillidae.bak

Download the zip package of the new version of mutillidae, extract it from unzip, overwrite the / var/www/mutillidae directory, but cannot run it, indicating a database error. Google, the database settings in the default package are different from the owaspbwa virtual machine settings. An easier way to overwrite the new file with the old database configuration file

Cp / var/www/mutillidae.bak/class/MySQLHandler.php / var/www/mutillidae/class/MySQLHander.php

The default mutillidae can only be accessed from localhost and 192.168.room.*. Modify / var/www/mutillidae/.htaccess and set it according to your own vmware network.

Click Reset DB on the mutillidae home page (if there is an error, it is because of the permission setting problem, you can delete the / var/lib/nowasp directory directly and then Reset DB)

OK, open the browser and start testing.
