This lab will experience how to obtain a free version of Teams account and invite external guests to use Teams to communicate with members of the enterprise team through Office 365Enterprise Edition Teams.

First, enable guest access

Open Edge, visit http://www.office.com, and log in using the Office administrator account. Click the "Management" icon in the "Application" of the page, or click the "Nine Palace Grid" application navigation icon in the upper left corner of the page, and click the "Administrator" button in the "Application" of the navigation bar to enter the management console.

In the navigation bar on the left side of the console, click Show all at the bottom. In the expanded navigation bar, click "Teams" in "Administration Center" to enter "Microsoft Team Management Center".

Navigate to Guest access in Organization-wide Settings in the left navigation bar, and set allow Guest access in Teams, which is closed by default in the right window, to on. Then drop down to the bottom and click the Save button.

After enabling allowing guest access, you can set the permission for guest accounts to use Teams. By default, the current version of Teams will grant guests permission to manipulate the project for all.

The current scope of authority includes: call, conference, message transmission and other three aspects of authority.

When the configuration is complete, log out of the account and close the Edge browser.

It should be noted that enabling Guest access is a global organization-wide setting, so there will be a delay in taking effect, up to 24 hours.

Sign up for a free Teams through Web or Teams desktop applications

Apply for free Teams as a guest to experience team interaction with Teams users in Office 365. Visit https://products.office.com/zh-cn/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software in the browser Edge and click "Free Registration".

Or open a Teams desktop app that doesn't have a login account or has logged out, and click the "sign up for free" button in the login screen.

Will jump to the Teams free registration page. The page may be rendered in different languages depending on the country where the access point is located. Fill in the applied Microsoft Outlook email address and click "Set up account".

Follow the prompts to enter the login password for MSID and click "Sign in". If the page asks whether to save the password, click "never".

In "Tell us about yourself", because the Outlook mailbox is used directly, the relevant name, country and region will be obtained from the Outlook mailbox user information. Therefore, after filling in "Company name", click "Next" directly to submit the application to complete the settings.

At this point, Teams will set up the account for a period of time, and the page prompts you not to refresh it. After the account is set up, the page will prompt you to open Teams. If you have installed the Teams desktop client, you will be prompted to switch to the desktop client, and you can click "Yes" to access Teams through the desktop client. If you click "No" here, or if you have not previously installed the Teams desktop client, you can click "switch to Web App" on the page to enter Teams.

This experience is done using "switch to Web App". After clicking "switch to Web App", you will receive a prompt that you have logged in. Click "keep this account logged in." Wait for the Teams to finish loading.

Follow the wizard to fill in the display name of the current account in Teams or keep the default display name; and set an avatar (optional). Click the next button.

Optionally, invite others in the enterprise or team to join the Teams according to the invitation issued by the wizard. When you are finished, click the "close" or "send invitation" button according to whether you need to send an invitation. If the invitation is not sent at this time, you can also send the invitation later in the Teams.

Third, the mobile client registers a free Teams

On an IOS or Android mobile device, open a Teams mobile app that does not have an account logged in or has logged out, and click the "Free Registration" button.

Submit the registered email address at the location where you fill in the email address. It is still recommended to use the Outlook email address of MSID. Then click "get started".

At this point, the Teams application will call the browser on the mobile device to open the free Teams registration page. In the current version of Teams, the page address is exactly the same as the address opened through Web and Teams desktop applications. For subsequent operations, you can refer to the registration method in the previous section to complete the experience.

Invite guests to join the team

1. The team owner logs in to Office 365

Open an Edge browser and enter http://www.office.com in the address bar. Click the Login button.

In the login interface, enter the login information of the user "Tang Sanzang":

Tangsanzang@yourtenantname.onmicrosoft.com

Click "next".

Note: if the browser records the previous user login information, click "Log in with another account", then enter the login account information of "Tang Sanzang", and then click "Login".

Follow the prompt "enter password" Pa$$w0rd and click the "login" button.

2. Create a guest account group

Click the "Outlook" icon in the "Application" page, or click the "Nine Palace Grid" application navigation icon in the upper left corner of the page.

Click the "Outlook" button in the "Application" of the navigation bar to enter the Outlook Web App.

Click on the upper right corner to confirm that the "new Outlook" is enabled. In the left navigation bar, click New Group under groups.

Fill in the group information to be created in the pop-up window: "Group name" is "team visitors"; "Group email address" is "jwguests"; other settings remain default, click the "create" button.

On the "add members" page, fill in the text box for the MSID email addresses that have been enabled with the free Microsoft Teams function, and you can add more than one in turn, and finally click the "add" button at the bottom.

3. Initiate the Microsoft Team connection invitation

Switch back to the Microsoft Teams Windows desktop application client that was logged in using the Tang Sanzang account.

Click the "team" button in the left navigation bar, and click "…" to the right of "learn from the team". " Click add member in the drop-down menu

Enter jwguests in the add members to the Learning team dialog box, and then click the add button on the right.

Then, click the close button.

Note: the effective time of enabling guest access for Microsoft Teams in Office 365 is about 2-24 hours. If you click add and the following interface appears, it means that it has become effective and can normally invite guests to visit, just click the "close" button.

If the addition here fails and the global configuration that allows guests to access is not yet in effect, you will be prompted to skip this step and the next steps in this activity. Wait until the global configuration that allows guest access takes effect.

5. Visitors join Microsoft Team

Close and reopen the IE browser.

Enter http://teams.microsoft.com in the address bar and log in to Microsoft Teams using the MSID you previously applied for free Microsoft Teams.

After entering the password, you will be prompted to use the Teams desktop application interface, and click "switch to Web App" here to continue using Edge to access Teams.

Select the Office Teams organization, such as yourtenantname (visitors), from the drop-down menu that prompts "Select Office Organization", and then click continue.

Click the "accept" button in the review permission of the Microsoft account to allow the inviting organization to read some of the user authentication information of the currently invited Microsoft account.

After loading, you will enter the organization Teams as a "visitor" and communicate with other members of the team in the "lessons learned team".

At this point, all the Microsoft Teams experience tasks in this series have been completed, and a series on how to manage Teams services in Office 365 may be written later.
