According to the Wall Street Journal, cyber security researchers have found a new type of virus software that can bypass the security features of the Android 6.0 operating system, thereby hacking into bank applications to steal credit card information.

They detected this variant of Gugi malware as early as June this year, but did not have the details of the software at that time. Regular Gugi malware usually induces users to click on text messages with viral links to enter the user's phone. Because bank cards and SMS verification are often bundled together, one of the important purposes of Gugi malware is to detect SMS.
