TiDB is much faster (at least three times faster) than MySQL in terms of complex joins for large tables, thanks to TiDB's distributed architecture, which pushes logical calculations down to individual data nodes for parallel execution.

Because TiDB has a good horizontal distribution, it breaks through the limit of single instance capacity and should have a better advantage than sub-database and sub-table.

TiDB will reduce development and operational complexity, and I will continue to investigate this database until 2020.

At present, it is planned to use tidb as MySQL slave library first, and the architecture is as follows:
