How to install Realplayer in Fedora Core 5 system, for this problem, this article details the corresponding analysis and solution, hoping to help more small partners who want to solve this problem find a simpler and easier way.

Fedora Core 5 is still relatively common. Fedora Core 5 ,Linux itself is the core part of this operating system, that is, the kernel of the operating system. The kernel is the program that performs the most basic operations. It is responsible for starting and terminating other programs (such as text editor programs), handling memory requests for hard disk access, network connection management, and so on. In order to add MP3 player functionality you have to install from a third party.

Install Realplayer

==> UNCHECK [ ] Enable Plugin

See Fedora Core 5 Guide for more details

Fedora Core ***udacious:(a branch of Beep Media Player-BMP). It is more fashionable to rebuild from XMMS. Still based on XMMS but much better than that

Most Rythmbox and Gstreamer systems should be installed when Gnome is installed (mentioned above). There are no components except MP3(and other media) plugins.

Install via yum:

[mirandam@charon ~]$ sudo yum install gstreamer-plugins-ugly gstreamer-plugins-bad

Fedora Core ***Marok -A stylish feature-rich media player

Installing KDE first helps reduce downloads.

Install via yum

[mirandam@charon ~]$ sudo yum install amarok amarok-extras-nonfree

Fedora Core ***morak Engine: Amorak asks you to select an "engine" that can play different media. Currently supported engines are Xine/Gstreamer and RealPlayer/HelixPlayer. If you install gstreamer-plugins-ugly or amarok-extras-nonfree, the Xine engine will be set to default.
