The purpose of this article is to share with you about how to write NTFS partitions under Linux. The editor thinks it is very practical, so share it with you as a reference and follow the editor to have a look.
The write operation of the NTFS partition under Linux can be done with a simple click.
In your normal work, if you install a dual system, one of which is a Winodws system, and you work in a Linux environment, and you need to use some documents in the Windows partition or write relevant files, then the Windows partition is NTFS. Normally, Linux does not support writing to NTFS (this file system is a closed source). You need to install a special tool to let Linux support the write operation to NTFS. The following tutorials come from ubuntugeek. Very simple:
The ntfs-config program allows you to configure NTFS file system writes through a friendly graphical interface.
Install ntfs-config on Ubuntu
Sudo apt-get install ntfs-config
The above command installs all the packages required for ntfs-config, including ntfs-3g
Use Ntfs-Config
Now open the software you just installed. System- > Administration- > NTFS Configuration Tool if you can't find the software, try this step Applications- > System Tools- > NTFS Configuration Tool
Enter your system password
Next, you will show the available NTFS partitions on your machine, as shown below / dev/sda2,/dev/sda3 is the available NTFS partition
Select the partition you want to configure and click the mount point you want. In this example, I select / dev/sda3 and click apply.
Choose NTFS write support, there are two choices, one is internal, the other is external, in this case I choose internal because I use Windows boot. If the hard drive of the NTFS you choose is external, you choose external.
If successful, you will see a mount point of the hard drive on your desktop. As shown below:
Next you can see Windows's file system, as shown in the following figure:
