1. Preparatory work 1, database environment

Operating system version: Redhat 6.8x64

Database version: Oracle 12.1.0.2 x64 RAC

Grid: 12.1.0.2

Oracle database: 12.1.0.2

2. Prepare the content

GI PSU: p24412235_121020_Linux-x86-64.zip

OPatch: p6880880_122010_Linux-x86-64.zip

DB PSU: p24006101_121020_Linux-x86-64.zip is only used by oracle12c stand-alone.

Download address of OPatch:

Https://updates.oracle.com/download/6880880.html

Upgrade process and instructions:

(1) GI PSU includes DB PSU,CPU.

(2) first upgrade node 1 grid, then upgrade node 2 grid, then upgrade node 1 database, and then upgrade node 2 database.

2. Update OPatch

Description: update the database and grid OPatch versions on two nodes respectively.

1. Update the OPatch version and replace it with OPatch compression directly.

(1) upload p6880880_122010_Linux-x86-64.zip to the / u01/software directory, and / u01/software gives 777 permissions.

(2) rename the original OPatch directory under the root user.

Mv / u01/app/12.1.0/grid/OPatch / u01/app/12.1.0/grid/OPatchbk

Mv / u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/db_1/OPatch / u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/db_1/OPatchBK

2. Grid directory OPatch replacement

(1) root users
