Brief introduction

RIP (Routing Information Protocol, routing Information Protocol) is an internal gateway protocol (IGP) and a dynamic routing protocol, which is used to transmit routing information in an autonomous system (AS). The RIP protocol is based on the distance vector algorithm (DistanceVectorAlgorithms) and uses the "hop count" (metric) to measure the routing distance to the destination address. The router of this protocol only cares about the world around it, only exchanges information with its neighboring routers, and the range is limited to 15 hops (15 degrees). No matter how far it is, it doesn't care. RIP is applied to the application layer of the five-layer model of OSI network.

Configuration proc

1 build the topology shown in the following figure on GN3

2 enable GNS3 and configure it according to the topology

3 configure dynamic routing on three routers

4 Test whether pc1 and pc2 are interconnected.
